Is there a way to keep ducks from breeding?

I want to get ducks and they don’t separate male from female, and i don’t want a million ducks …. so I was wondering if there was a way to keep them from breeding, or… is that a stupid question and they will breed no matter what i do?
also i dont want to eat their eggs… or kill the fertile eggs
