I have owned this land for 5 years am having distress with payment, if there were accord $ available I would develop it for Handicapped Vets for deer, Turkey. I could place 6 hunters daily SAFELY. They could hunt from wheelchairs or even cars or trucks. I am 100% disabled-everlastingly also so I know what a thrill it is to be able to get into the woods again. I have a small cabin there sleeps 3, want to place up a small pole construction/bunkhouse/kitchen for the comfort of guests. I do NOT want to profit from this, I would just like to be able to keep it and share it. I worked for 20 years as a Wildlife Biologist, I used to take kids in wheelchairs out to a duck blind in a boat, or Pheasant hunting, what a WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE! There is a 240 acre field between my land and County road I have never had tresspass problems. On opening day of any season at the Wildlife Area one can sit in my cabin and watch the deer & Turkeys run into my woods to hide so there is always lots of action.

Duck hunting one man layout boat?
I was given a one man duck hunting layout boat that wants some serious work. I work with wood often, but my projects normally don’t need to float! I’ve stripped all of the fiberglass off of her and I have dryrot in a few places. I know to tear out the terrible wood and replace. What kind of wood should I use, the frame looks like oak and the “skin” or “strips” on the outside look like cedar or pine. It’s all been nailed, why no screws? Do I need to counter sink the nails or screws and fill with a epoxy? What type of fiberglass? weight? What kind of fiberglass epoxy should I use? What kind of paint? It wants to be flat gray with black stripes to look like michigan water… The bottom is plywood, looks like Home Depot stuff, all rotted out, what should I repalce it with?
Any help would be fantastic! Thanks!

Duck Dinner – Entertain Your Guests With A Duck Hunting Poem And An Enticing Recipe!
Duck hunting has been well loved for centuries and is considered a very exciting and rewarding hunt. The avid hunter will spend weeks preparing for the upcoming season. Between training bird dogs, checking gear, purchasing new equipment, and practicing the duck call, duck hunting becomes a passion, not just a seasonal leisure activity. The duck hunter who enjoys duck season spends his time and money on the basics; a shotgun, camouflage clothing, and perhaps a duck call, but the hunter who devotes his life to the sport spends his off-season in preparation for his next chance at the hunt. The avid duck hunter will invest in a duck boat, decoys, dogs, and blinds, and even when he’s not actively preparing for next season, he’s thinking about it. Wonderful tales exist of regal kings and their courts sitting around a lavish dinner of duck and goose. The king’s fool stands and says a few words about the buffet and the group then digs in to buffet. Duck hunting is a long tradition loved throughout history and throughout the world.
For the passionate duck hunter waiting to engage in his sport, he finds many ways to occupy his time. There are dozens of items available, such as books, games, collectibles, decorative items, decoys, recipes, and even creative prose all devoted to his favorite fowl. For the hunter looking to entertain his guests with a dinner of duck and a poem as in the tradition of kings and courts long past, there are many different options:
• A duck hunting poem about the like of the hunt.
• A humorous poem about the rigors of hunting.
• A poem about the beauty of ducks.
Along with the poem, a hunter must find his favorite recipe for wild duck. While there are many available, here is one option:
Tame Rice and Wild Duck
• 1 wild duck, cleaned and ready to cook
• 2 cups minute rice
• 2 cups duck stock
• 1 onion, chopped
• 1½ teaspoons salt
• 1 teaspoon pepper
• 1/8 teaspoon red pepper (optional)
Instructions:
Place the wild duck in a 4-quart pot and cover with water. Add the onion, salt, pepper and any other preferred seasonings, and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and slow cook for 1½ hours. Remove the duck and place it on a warm platter.
Bring two cups of reserved stock to a boil; water may be added if necessary to round out the measurement. Add the minute rice to boiling stock, cover, and let stand twenty minutes. Place the fluffed rice around the duck and garnish with parsley.
Makes three to four servings.

Duck On A Boat…Will you read and sea, please?

Duck On A Boat
Of all the places
I’d like to be
many than other, here at sea
In a pond
or on a lake
perhaps snuggled, with a handsome drake
Flying with friends
eating in fields
having rice and grain, for all my meals
Preening my feathers
fluffing my wings
these are a few, of my favorite things
But alas I am stuck
on steel now I float
such is the life, of a duck on a boat
Yes…I am a duck…on a boat…at sea
